Billy Lovell Kane, 80, entered into eternal life, Monday, December 19, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center.
Mr. Kane was born September 12, 1931 in Swenson, Texas the son of Art and Alma (Kennemer) Kane. Billy graduated from Texas A & M. He served his country proudly as a Captain in the U. S. Army. Billy married Leona Whinery in May 1951; she preceded him in death July 1957. He later married Myra Doughty June 30, 1962. He worked for many years as a land appraiser and real estate before retiring. Billy was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council 830. He was a man of God, devoted husband, a beloved father, grandfather and brother. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Kane is survived by his beloved family, wife, Myra Kane of Denison, TX, children, Russ Kane and wife, Cheryl of Denison, TX, Cindy Kane of Austin, TX, Michael Kane and wife, Kelly of Durant, OK, Kelley Winborne and husband, Chuck of Southmayd, TX, Allen Kane and partner, Jay Janota of Chicago, IL, Lisa Miller of Denison, TX and David Kane and wife, Sheila of Sherman, TX, eleven grandchildren, Caroline Kane, Kasen Kane, Summer Kane, Kane Winborne, Willie Winborne, Katie Kane, Jessie Kane, Jodi Sitton, Royal Kane, Cole Miller and Carson Miller, two great-grandchildren, Caidyn Kane and Charlee Sitton, brother, Grady Kane and wife, Mary Clare of Fort Collins, CO, brother-in-law, Larry Doughty and wife, Janet of Rogers, Ark, nieces and nephews, John Kane, Kathy Kane, Betsy Roth, Patrick Kane, Andrew Kane and Kristy Doughty, special cousins, Allyn, Cheryl and Chris Giacomazzi and special family, Lawrence and Mary Francis Trosclair and Tammy Kane Kirk. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Leona Whinery Kane and son, Robert Grady Kane.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Stephen Mocio officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Deacon Gary Vogel officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kane Winborne, Willie Winborne, Royal Kane, John Kane, Andrew Kane and Christopher Giacomazzi. Honorary pallbearers will be Kasen Kane, Cole Miller, Carson Miller and Allyn Giacomazzi.
