Mary Elizabeth Canaday

Mary Elizabeth Canaday, age 76, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Medical Center of Plano. Mrs. Canaday was born July 24, 1936 in Lamar, Missouri the daughter of Charles and Beullah (Hederly) Huffman. She was one of nine children. She graduated from Parsons High School and was a member of Christian Church in Parsons, Kansas. Mary married the love of her life, Glen Canaday. She enjoyed country music and flowers. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Mrs. Canaday is survived by her beloved family, husband, Glen Canaday of Denison, TX, sons, Charles Kollenborn of Denison, TX and Nathan Canaday and wife, Joann of Calera, OK and daughter, Jeanice Richardson and husband, Dean of Denison, TX, granddaughters, Kara Kollenborn, Melissa Kumler and Alexis Canaday, great grandchildren, Colton Kumler, Kaden Kumler, Kollin Kumler, Caleb Kumler and Blakelynn Canaday, sister, Joann Thornton and husband, Jim of Oregon and dog, Benny. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Charles, Cecil, Marion, Jerry and Arthur Freeman and sisters, Virginia and Ella Mae. Mrs. Canaday was cremated according to her wishes. The family will receive family and friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at their home, 1324 Crestview in Denison.
